In the summertime Sally left her home of Portland, Maine and landed in the Wood River Valley after checking out the west. Sally Kern is the owner and crafter and supports herself with her business Kernworks making windsocks, banners, quilts, pillows, fleecewear, veggie bags, and more. Sally enjoys using vintage looking western, Hawaiian, campy retro fabrics. In 2000 Sally inherited Heidi’s fleecewear business and in 1982 she made her first windsock. Thousands of windsocks later, you can still find them flutterimg outside her home on Main Street in downtown Hailey.
