Judd and Heather McMahan are the masters behind Wood River Organics. Their 50 acre farm located to 2 miles west of Bellevue, ID at the historical Cal-Pacific ranch and is a certified organic farm. Judd grows a variety of vegetables focusing on root vegetables such as beets, onions and carrots, and a wide variety of salad greens including mesclun mix, spinach, kale, swiss chard, arugula, braising greens, and bok choy. Judd started farming 8 years ago on 1000 square feet and now Wood River Organics is the largest certified organic farm in the Wood River Valley. Their greens are packed full of nutrients, so fresh, tender and sweet because of the cool mountain mornings.
They work hard to preserve soil quality growing cover crops and grasses to help supplement the soil with nutrients making it a perfect environment for growing carrots and beets. Judd has a real passion for growing all his produce organically and wants to thank all the patrons that support the local family farms making it possible to provide fresh local produce to the Wood River Valley.
