Products: Homemade Ice Cream and Sorbets
Lacie Hernandez is the owner and ice cream extraordinaire of Yellow Belly Ice Cream. Lacie has lived in the Wood River Valley for five years and homemade ice cream is a tradition in her family. In her younger days Lacie did her share of turning the hand crank to make the perfect vanilla. Over the years Lacie has gotten a bit more creative with her flavors including her Sun Valley Burn with cinnamon and cayenne, and her backyard mint infusing fresh mint into the ice cream. Yellow Belly uses some of the finest local ingredients with the main one being milk and cream from Cloverleaf Creamery out of Buhl, ID. Flavored ice creams or sorbets are offered when fresh fruit is in season from our local Idaho farmers. Yellow Belly ice cream does not use high fructose corn syrup in any of its ice cream. Most flavors are eggs and gluten free, no stabilizers or food coloring is added to enhance the product. Lacie will be offering scoop ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, and a flavor of the week. Come check out some of her samples and cool yourself off with fresh, homemade ice cream in Ketchum this week and every week throughout the season.
