Imagine eating sweet fresh strawberries only for a couple of months of the year – there is a special enjoyment in eating food as it comes into season, and waiting and fully appreciating when it comes around next year!
Of course, you can have too much waiting, so many of our farmers have season extenders (greenhouses, hoophouses, special fabrics in the field) that allow us to enjoy summer’s bounty earlier in the spring and later in the fall.
We’ll update this page throughout the season to reflect what’s coming on strong at the market.
As always, chicken, beef, lamb, eggs, jams, honey, baked goods and more are available all summer.
