Dry Beans

Bags of dry beans, black red and white

Fresh, dry beans produced locally by M&M Heath (he offers many varieties) are a must use in any recipes that call for beans. Forget the notion of using canned, mushy tasteless, nutritionally empty beans that packaged and sold in cans lined with toxic¬†chemicals. Mike’s beans are so much fresher tasting and better for you!

Cook beans in bulk, to save time later. Drain excess water and freeze in small containers for use as needed. To cook, most beans require soaking first. Best method for pre-soaking is to boil water then soak beans for 2-3 hours or overnight in boiled water to break hard outer shell and soften to reduce cooking time later. Buy Mike’s beans at either Hailey or Ketchum Market.
