Wood River Farmer’s Market September 1 & 3
August 31, 2009
August has gone by in a rush and September is upon us bringing with it all the bounty of summer harvests. Except for some late Fall fruits you can now find most whatever can be grown in our central Idaho climate available at our vendors booths. Heirloom tomatoes, corn, plums, pears, squash have been some favorite items lately. Keep an eye out for gourds and pumpkins arriving as well as the mood shifts towards fall. Of course all the ready to eat foods offer quick and easy ways to pick up a meal on the go and still have a delicious, local treat.
This week Thomas Paul will be playing music at the Ketchum Market on 9-1 and Andrew Toft bring to the Hailey Market some fine fiddle playing from Twin Falls on 9-3.
See you at the markets.
