Wow, the markets are really starting hit mid-summer stride with incredible offerings of produce, crafts, ready to eat foods & as always great music. It has been said that “There are only two things that money can’t buy and that’s true love and home-grown tomatoes. Well, home-grown tomatoes are starting to show up at our vendors stands and these tasty beauties are true love in themselves! Also – peas, carrots, fava beans, turnips, radishes, kale, broccoli, basil, squash, potatoes, sweet onions and the list goes on…
This week Piers Lamb is back playing music in Ketchum and Rico from the Damphools will be delighting the crowds in Hailey.

Wood River Farmer’s Markets July 14 & 16

At the Ketchum Market on the 14th Kelley Weston of Native Landscapes will be giving a local tour of water-wise landscaping around town and a look at some natural areas of comparison. Kelley is an exceptionally knowledgeable fellow and this will be a very interesting tour. Meet at the music tent at 3pm. Also this week local band Live Nudes will be playing music & The Community Library will be selling tickets for their Tour of Homes.
At the Hailey Market on the 16th The Shims (Fletcher Brock & Jim Paisley) continue their whirlwind, standing room only tour of the local markets. These guys have such a nice sound – so kick off your shoes and stay a while – it is the heart of summer and this is the perfect place to enjoy it. Look for new produce from our vendors each week as the harvests really start to roll in.

With July upon us, the markets are really starting to blossom – new varieties of fruits & produce will be available from your favorite vendors. As always – excellent local music, quality crafts, tasty ready to eat foods and so much more.
This week:
In Ketchum on Tuesday July 7 – local landscape architect and high altitude plant guru Kelley Weston will be leading a tour to visit water-wise native plant and flower landscapes. Meet at the music tent at 3 pm. Note – the tour with Kelley has been rescheduled for next week – July 14 – see you there!
Crowd favorites Jim Paisley & Fletcher Brock known collectively as ‘The Shims’ will be playing their sweet music all market long. Keep an eye out for The Animal Shelter and Sawtooth Botanical Gardens who will be selling raffle tickets. Also this week – Cupcakes! Mmmm.
In Hailey on Thursday July 9 – Jon Jacobsen will be playing tunes, bring the kids for free face-painting. As always the Artist’ Market will have their vendors with an excellent variety of crafts – photography, art, clothing & other cool stuff.
Coming soon there will be chef demonstrations to help you with great ideas for your market purchases.
